Lake Toho fishing report 10/15/2025

Capt. Erik Tilson flipping for big bass on Lake Toho

Lake Toho Water Elevation Today: 54.5

Lake Toho Water Temp Today: 74-76 degrees

Best Lake Toho Pattern Today: Casting texas rigged CPF Lures Junebug Blue Tail Stickler Pro at hydrilla edges.

Secondary Lake Toho Pattern: Flipping heavy junk mats with a CPF Lures P&P Reaper in “Carbon 360” color.

Water temps have finally dropped below 80 degrees hopefully until next year. Today was windy which helped to keep the water temps in the mid 70’s. The bass are starting to get grouped up as the shad are also getting “balled” up. Look for groups a 3–5-pound bass following bait balls off of hard edges of grass like hydrilla, Illinois Pond Weed, and Kissimmee Grass. I’m excited to see the Lake Toho water temps coming down. All of the biggest bass my clients have caught over the years on Lake Toho is during the fall and winter.

The feed windows are beginning to broaden more each day as the water temps drop so keep those moving baits handy. We’re still having our best luck on Texas rigged senkos, trick worms, and speed worms but we’re also getting some big blow ups on topwater and catching a few on vibrating jigs. My go-to is a 1/2oz Zman Jackhammer in Gold Shiner color with a color matching trailer.

Topwater will remain a great technique for big Lake Toho bass through December

The shallow bite is also pretty good with the water levels being up; we landed several fish in the 3lb class and one 6lbr today flipping junk mats. My go-to junk flipping bait is a CPF Lures P & P Reaper in a new color called “Carbon 360”. Checkout my Lake Toho flipping videos here - (2) Capt. Erik Tilson - YouTube
